An Update For Our Mac Bite Enthusiasts:
As we all work through the Coronavirus outbreak and its effect on our local communities, we want to take some time and update our valued customers on how we are handling this difficult time. We want to make clear that as a local small business, the management and ownership team are committed to our customers’ and employees’ safety.
As of Monday, March 16th, in the interest of our employees’ health, and in an effort to engage in “social distancing” for the benefit of our community, CARS will unfortunately not be allowing any guests into our establishment unless to pick up existing orders they have placed ahead with us. Placing an order with us IN our restaurant will unfortunately not be permitted at this time. Guests will need to place and pay for their order either online ( www.EATatCARS.com ) or by phone (973-746-6400). Once your order is fulfilled by our team, you’ll receive a text message indicating as such and you’ll be able to pick up your order.
The well-being of our staff and customers are our top priority, and we want to continue providing a happy, safe and healthy environment for all our team members and the surrounding community. Given the current health situation, we are still taking any and all extra precautions when operating to ensure this.
Most importantly, our entire staff is informed and prepared. We are keeping them updated on the latest news in our areas and any information provided to us by the CDC on best practices for food safety and hygiene. Hand washing and general hygiene practices have been reiterated consistently. In addition to wearing disposable gloves for food preparation, all employees have been instructed to wear them when handling any serving trays, baskets and delivery containers.
Our staff is also committed to routine disinfecting of high touch and high traffic surfaces with approved disinfectants. While this is part of our regular maintenance, we are increasing the frequency of doing so.
Any and all sick employees have been ordered to stay home and keep away from the workplace. They have also been instructed to stay home should they suspect they were in contact with anyone who has tested positive for the virus.
We will continue to monitor the situation day-by-day and community-by-community. We will implement further operational changes as needed to do what's best for our customers and employees. We thank you in advance for your patience as we do so!
